Victim Services

In order to further support our clients, Victim Services provides personal and system advocacy to our clients through qualified volunteers.

The Mobile Advocacy Program:

Utilizes police reports to identify victims of crime and proactively reach out to them
Educates our clients about their rights under the Crime Victim Compensation Program and ensure that they get the compensation they are entitled for lost wages, medical bills, counseling and more
Keeps them safe by locating appropriate shelter spaces
Assists clients in navigating the legal system and  attend court hearings
Connects them to other valuable community resources such as food banks, free clothing, free transportation, job training and placement and many others
Simply ‘be there’ as the client undergoes tremendous life changes.
Training for the program is limited.  The minimum weekly required service hours are five hours.  All that is needed on your behalf is to pass a completed background check from a local law enforcement agency.
