Empowerment Evaluator:
The successful candidate will design and conduct program evaluation studies for domestic violence centers and FCADV. The Empowerment Evaluator will have knowledge of the root causes of violence against women and oppressed groups, skill in using statistical software such as SPSS, SAS, STATA, or Microsoft Excel for advanced statistical analysis, as well as common database and office software. The Empowerment Evaluator (EE) possesses at minimum, a Master’s Degree in program evaluation or related field with a quantitative area of specialization and three years of directly related experience in program evaluation. This position is located in Tallahassee with moderate, primarily in-state travel. National travel is required approximately two to three times per year.
Youth Prevention Specialist:
Provides training and technical assistance to Florida’s 42 certified domestic violence (DV) centers and allied partners. Successful candidate will have knowledge of root causes of violence against women and oppressed groups, proven training experience, ability to multi-task, and a consistent employment history. Candidate must have extensive knowledge of primary prevention of DV; experience planning, implementing and evaluating prevention programming; experience working with youth and engaging youth leadership; experience with the Coordinated Community Response to DV; and, a proven history of successful grassroots organizing for social change. High school diploma/equivalency and four years relevant experience or a bachelor’s degree in a related field and three years relevant experience. Excellent verbal/written communication skills required. This job is based in Tallahassee, Florida and requires extensive in-state and limited national travel.
Domestic Violence, Disability Compliance & Abuse in Later Life Specialist:
Successful candidate will have knowledge, skills and at least three years experience working with survivors of DV living with a disability. Candidate will have knowledge of the dynamics of abuse in later life. Successful candidate will have knowledge of root causes of violence against women and oppressed groups, a dynamic presence, proven training experience, ability to multi-task, a consistent employment history and the capacity to create and deliver interactive presentations. Provides training and technical assistance to the 42 certified Florida domestic violence centers and allied partners. High school diploma/equivalency and four years relevant experience or a bachelor’s degree in a related field and three years relevant experience. Excellent verbal/written communication skills. This job is based in Tallahassee, Florida and requires extensive in-state and limited national travel.
Administrative/Executive Assistant:
Applicant must have at minimum, an Associate’s Degree and two years experience, or a high school/equivalency diploma and four years experience as an Administrative/Executive Assistant. Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment including handling extensive travel arrangements, answering phones, executing purchase orders, and creating conference materials. Advanced skill in Excel, Word, database management and excellent writing and proofreading skills required.
Domestic Violence Program Monitor:
Successful candidate will have a minimum of three successful years experience working directly with survivors of domestic violence. Successful candidate will have knowledge of root causes of violence against women and oppressed groups and empowerment-based advocacy. Candidate will be responsible for ensuring quality services are provided to individuals seeking services at Florida’s certified DV centers. Candidate will have a consistent employment history. Experience working for a domestic violence/rape crisis center required. Responsibilities include pre and post monitoring procedures, adherence to federal regulations, preparation of monitoring reports, follow-up, statistical analysis, and technical assistance. Excellent verbal/written communication skills required. This job is based in Tallahassee, Florida and requires extensive in-state travel.
Director of Special Projects:
Successful candidate will have knowledge, skills and a minimum of three years experience in domestic violence center or coalition management. Candidate must have a successful history of grant writing and must demonstrate successful management of grant deliverables and budgets. Must have expertise working with survivors of domestic violence and knowledge of empowerment-based advocacy. Successful candidate will have knowledge of root causes of violence against women and oppressed groups, proven training experience, ability to multi-task, a consistent employment history and the capacity to create and implement programming. A Bachelor’s Degree and three years mgt/program development and supervision experience required or a high school/equivalency diploma and five years experience. An experienced candidate who has worked in a certified domestic violence center or for coalition is preferred. Excellent verbal/written communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Word. This job is based in Tallahassee, Florida and requires extensive in-state and limited national travel.
Statewide Domestic Violence Hotline Advocate:
Fulltime and part-time positions available. Provides crisis intervention, information and referral to survivors of domestic violence who call Florida’s toll-free statewide domestic violence (DV) hotline. Successful candidate will have knowledge of root causes of violence against women and oppressed groups, proven crisis intervention experience, ability to multi-task, and a consistent employment history. Candidate must have extensive knowledge of the dynamics of DV and a proven history of successful advocacy on behalf of survivors of DV. Candidates who have worked for a domestic violence center are preferred. High school diploma/equivalency and four years relevant experience or a bachelor’s degree in a related field and three years relevant experience. Excellent verbal/written communication skills required. This job is based in Tallahassee, Florida and requires limited in-state and national travel.
